It is time to chant ‘India’ ‘India’ again as the season of biggest cricket tournament has arrived. ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is set to roll after six days with the explosive opener between the hosts England and South Africa on May 30 at the Oval Stadium, London. Before starting their 50-over maiden tournament all the teams will face each other in warm-up fixtures and on the day of the first official warm-up match, all the 10 captains of World Cup squads had an interactive session with media on Thursday.

Earlier on the eve of the first warm-up session between Australia and West Indies, Indian team had touched down the hosting city and practised at the Oval Cricket Ground to give a tough fight to their opponents.

The skipper of Indian National World Cup squad, Virat Kohli took to Twitter to share his feelings with cricket fans and tweeted, “we will see high scoring games initially but in later stages, you won’t see too many teams going gung-ho from ball 1”.

The day one drilling session showed the brilliant leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal discussing about the warm-up fixtures. Blue Tigers will start their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5 at The Rose Bowl Stadium in Southampton. The India squad will play its first warm-up fixture against New Zealand, five days prior to the opening match of world Cup 2019 which will later be followed by another fixture against Bangladesh at Cardiff Stadium on May 28.

Moreover, the 12th edition of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is going to be broadcasted all over the world through one of the best sports broadcasters and in India, Star Sports networks would be the official broadcaster for CWC 2019. Interestingly, this year Afghanistan will get a chance to watch the grand cricket tournament live via state broadcaster Radio Television Afghanistan (RTA). The global broadcaster of 2019 ICC World Cup edition, Star Sports is going to air the tournament live to more than 200 territories via 25 broadcast partners. Not only this, the tournament will also be broadcasted in a total of seven regional languages across India.
