After the Indian selectors ignored ace cricketer Ambati Rayudu for 2019 ICC World Cup squad the experienced player took a dig on selectors by posting humorous post on social media. Indian cricket team selectors picked Vijay Shankar over 33-year-old cricketer as they found him ‘three dimensional’ specialist. Shankar has the skill set to handle all the three things including batting, bowling and fielding gracefully on the field which became the reason for his inclusion in ICC World Cup India squad. Rayudu expressed his disappointment on BCCI’s decision and tweeted a humorous statement, “just ordered a new set of 3d glasses to watch the world cup.”
Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the 15-men Indian squad for the biggest cricket tournament on Monday at Mumbai. Many big names were left out while selection blue team. Other than Raydu several talented cricketers like Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Deepak Chahar, Rishabh Pant and Navdeep Saini have been failed to secure their berth in World Cup squad. Chief selector MSK Parasad also gave one more shock to cricket fans after selecting Dinesh Karthik over star player Rishabh Pant which created havoc on Twitter. However some Twitteratties seem to be happy with the selection of Karthik in Indian squad.
ICC World Cup 2019 will begin with the exciting clash of hosting team England and South Africa on May 30 at The Oval Stadium while the final showdown will be played on July 14, 2019 at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
