Even after the ban has been lifted from Australian cricketers Steve Smith and David Warner, people are still making them embarrass for the controversial issue of ball tampering. This comes after the veteran players faced boos from the crowd during their side’s warm-up fixtures against England and Sri Lanka. Both the cricketers are making their international comeback at ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 after a year long ban.

The Australian coach Justin Langer came forward in the support of both the cricketers after the incident and asked the audience not to boo them at least during their match stint.

Australian head coach Justin Langer urged the crowd to show some respect to the cricketers and not to bully them during the match. While requesting the cricket fans, Langer said,”they are going to have to have thick skin. We have talked about earning respect. I think it is really important that people show some respect as well. Because they are humans, they are really good cricketers”. Further he also added, “they made a mistake. They have paid the price for it. Big price actually. I feel for them as people more than anything else”

Earlier in 2018, former Australian team captain Steve Smith and his deputy David Warner were banned from all forms of cricket  for their alleged involvement in ball-tampering scandal during third test match against South Africa at Cape Town in last year. After the one year of their punishment, Australian Cricket Board had lifted the ban from duo. The Australian Cricket Chief Kevin Roberts insisted the authorities that the comeback of both the banned cricketers will not disrupt the resurgent team.

Australia is going to begin its grand cricket cup campaign against Afghanistan from June 1, 2019 at Bristol Country Ground, England.
