After facing a painful defeat in the semifinals of ICC World Cup 2019 against New Zealand, India is now gearing up for their next cricket tour in West Indies. No matter what happens but the show must go on, it seems like India is following the same strategy after their heartbreaking exit from the grand tournament. The blues are now preparing themselves to give tough competition to West Indies squad in T20, ODI and Test match series.

The last time when both the teams faced each other was in ICC World Cup 2019 where Virat Kohli and team flattened the Jason Holder’s squad with a margin of 125 runs at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester in the 34th match.

Notably, in this upcoming tour at West Indies, the star skipper of Indian National Cricket Team and world-class pacer Jasprit Bumrah are not likely to participate.  Both the m cricketers have been playing non-stop cricket for the last one year and now want to take a long break.

In the absence of experienced captain Kohli, brilliant right-handed batsman Ajinkya Rahane will lead the Indian squad in Test match series while vice-captain Rohit Sharma will take the helms in T20 and ODI series.

The official authorities of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on the absence of Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah, “Kohli and Bumrah are going to miss the T20s and ODIs for sure but the selectors are also thinking to rest them for the two Tests in the West Indies. They are important players for the team and the team management and selection committee wants them to stay fresh for the home season ahead”
