Former Indian wicketkeeper Vijay Dahiya spoke about Indian wicketkeeper MS Dhoni’s retirement. He said Dhoni knows what to do and when to do, no one can tell what is going on in his head.
Dhoni played his last match in July 2019 against New Zealand, which was World Cup semi-final, India lost that match. Dhoni is the only captain to win all three ICC trophies, he won the T20 World Cup in 2007, Champions trophy in 2013, and cricket World Cup in 2011.
He’s not finished yet, says Vijay Dahiya
Vijay Dahiya who is Delhi Capitals’ chief talent scout said in a conversation with Sportskeeda said, “I think if someone lives with him (MS Dhoni) for 30 years, then also that person doesn’t know what MS Dhoni is thinking and what he’s going to do next. That is MS for you.”
The 47-year old added, “Whenever you’re going to talk about Indian cricket, you’ll have a chapter or a mention as far as MS Dhoni is concerned. And with a character like him, he’s not finished yet.”
Vijay Dahiya hails his Childhood Hero Sachin Tendulkar
Dahiya told Sportskeeda “No brainer, to be very honest. When I was growing up, anyone my age or even older people – the one and only Sachin Tendulkar. What’s interesting is that the same age, older people also had somebody’s poster who was 16-17 on the wall and wanted to be like him.”
He added, “It is phenomenal what he’s done for Indian cricket, how many people he has inspired and is still inspiring. If you played this game, you know the era in which he played. The sort of team we had and the sort of teams others were. And his numbers were phenomenal, and his style also.”
