The time for much-hyped action-pack battle has finally come as arch-rivals India and Pakistan are finally going to face each other in the 22nd match of ICC World Cup 2019 on June 16th at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Indian cricketers have played total three matches so far in this World Cup tournament whereas Pakistan has played four games. Reigning on the fourth position with five points in the ongoing cricket cup tournament, India opened its campaign with a brilliant six-wicket win against South Africa at Rose Bowl Cricket Ground. Indians kept their winning-momentum alive in the second match also where they defeated five-time World Champions Australia by 36 runs at ‘The Oval’ stadium. Their last match against top-ranked New Zealand was called off due to heavy rain at Trent Bridge stadium on June 13th after which Indian cricket fans looked very disappointed. With their next game against Pakistan, men in blue will try to maintain the same kind of dominance at Trafford’s pitch.

On the other hand, Pakistan who grabbed only one victory against England so far is looking forward to turning their fortunes in the match against rivals India. Pakistani cricketers started their World Cup campaign horribly as they faced the fierce defeat against West Indies by seven wickets at Trent Bridge stadium. In their second match against hosting team England, the green army bounced back vigorously. Good performances by Babar Azam and Mohammed Hafeez in the game led their side to seal the match by 14-run victory against the hosts. Their third match against Sri Lanka was called off due to heavy rain at Bristol County Ground. The green army then faced another shock in their last match against Australia where the defending champions beat the squad by 41 runs at County Ground stadium, Taunton.
