South Africa is coming to India for an ODI series after 4 years with their new captain Quinton de Kock and coach Mark Boucher. The first match between India and South Africa of the three-match ODI series is to be played on Thursday. It is being speculated that rain can play spoilsport in the match and according to the AccuWeather reports there is a chance of little rain. Dharamshala rarely gets the responsibility of organizing an international match and things will get worse due to the weather. The second match will be played in Lucknow on March 15 and the last and third will be played in Kolkata on March 18.
India Cricket Team-
Indian team has been battling with players injury since the beginning of this year. The team’s 4 key players Hardik Pandya, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar remained out of the team due to injury in the last series against New Zealand. Team India lost an ODI series after 6 years in New Zealand against the hosts. The last time the Kiwi team won an ODI series against India was 4–0 in January 2014. However, it is a relief for the Indian team that Pandya, Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have recovered from injury and are making comeback against South Africa.
Pandya will return to field after a gap of 8 months due to back surgery done in October last year. Prior to the series, Pandya proved himself in the D.Y. Patil T20 tournament by scoring 2 centuries in 4 days. Dhawan will return to the cricket ground after 2 months. He suffered a shoulder injury during the ODI series against Australia in January. While Bhuvneshwar Kumar will return to the field after 4 months.
