The invincible Indian cricket squad led by star skipper Virat Kohli is just two wickets away from 3-0 clean sweep against hapless Proteas as on the third day of the final Test encounter hosts prevented South Africa at a 132-run stand on Monday. After the follow-on enforced by Virat Kohli in the third Test also, Proteas started their second innings on a positive note at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. But the destructive pacers of the Indian cricket team were not in a mood to give any chance to the Proteas to win.
Starting their third day at Ranchi with just nine runs in the kitty on a loss of two wickets, Proteas tried hard to bounce back in the game. But unfortunately, outstanding Indian pacer Mohammed Shami sent the opponent captain back to the pavilion with just four runs in the account.
However, the cameos of George Linde, Dane Piedt, and Theunis de Bruyn somehow drove the Proteas to 132-run for8 wickets but with only two wickets in hands, it will be very difficult for them to turn the tables against aggressive visitors.
Earlier in the first innings of the game, Virat Kohli declared the innings for his team at 497 runs for nine wickets and his decision proved right as the whole team of South Africa bundled out at just 162 runs in the first innings. During the second innings, Indians inflicted a follow on Proteas as they had enough runs in the kitty.
The way India is moving so swiftly in the third and the final Test battle against Proteas at home pitch it seems like the hosts will comfortable whitewash the visitors with a great margin. Only time will tell, how will Proteas recover on the fourth day of the last Test. As of now, Indians are completely dominating the match with their great bowling spells.
