India has finally ended the third and the last Test encounter against South Africa with a 3-0 clean sweep at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Tuesday. Proteas started their fourth day in Ranchi with only two wickets in hand. Theunis de Bruyn and Lungi Ngidi both tried their best to save the drowning side but the young debutant Shahbaz Nadeem came out with all guns blazing in his very first Test match for India and dismissed both the star players of South Africa in consecutive balls.

Virat Kohli and team took just two overs and nine minutes to tale last two wickets of South Africa and ended their innings at just 133 runs in 48 overs. As a result, the hosts won the final Test encounter by an innings and 202 runs which is the biggest ever victory for India over Proteas so far. With this impressive all-win in the three-match Test series against South Africa, Indians also remained at the top position of the ICC World Test Championship points table. They are now reigning with 240 points in the current standings from only five games while the second-placed powerful Kiwis are 180 points behind the Indians in recent table.

Not only this, the experienced cricketer Virat Kohli also became the first-ever Indian captain who led his side to a complete Test series whitewash against South Africa. The blues had never witnessed such a great win over Proteas in past Test matches and indeed it will be a very special moment for them.

The men in blue will next be seen in action against Bangladeshi Tigers in front of the home crowd once again from the next month. Both India and Bangladesh will play a three-match T20I series against each other starting from November 3rd till November 10th. This will be then followed by a two-match Test series between both the squads from November 14th till November 26th. It will be interesting to see whether the Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team will be able to keep their dominance alive in the next cricketing assignment at home also or not.
