Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma says got to understand MS Dhoni after 2013. He has spent a lot of time with the former Indian captain, he realized Mahi is always calm be it on the field or off the field. That is the reason why Dhoni is known as captain cool. Sharma said that he always helps out youngsters and never stops anyone from coming to his room.
Ishant debuted in Test, ODI, and T20I in the captaincy of MS only. Although he last played an ODI in 2016, January and T20I in 2013, October, he is a regular player for the national team in test cricket.

Ishant said on a star sports show ‘Cricket Connected’, “Initially, my interaction with MS Dhoni was limited, but after 2013, I started talking to him and understanding him.”Then I got to know how cool he is and how nicely he talks to the youngsters and treats them. He is the same on the field, he has never asked us to not visit him in his room. You can ask (Mohammed) Shami, he goes to his room the most! He has always been like this, and it’s a different moment to enjoy with him when you can learn a lot of things from him, about cricket or life.” Sharma has played a lot of matches under the captaincy of captain cool.

Ishant Sharma has played 97 test matches for India taking 297 wickets, whereas he has played 80 One-Day matches and took 115 wickets in them. His T20I career is the shortest out of the three formats he has only represented India for 14 times taking 8 wickets in them. Dhoni has played 90 test matches and has scored 4876 runs in them. In ODIs, he has scored 10773 runs in 350 matches, whereas in T20Is he has scored 1617 runs in 98 matches. Last time Dhoni played a match for the Indian team it was 2019 World Cup semifinal against the Kiwis.
