The Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad which are the third and fourth placed teams respectively in the Points Table is up against each other in the Eliminator match of the Indian Premier League 2019. The match between Delhi and Hyderabad is at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam today.

DC became the second team to qualify for the playoffs but still they could not finish in the top two because of an inferior Net Run Rate and hence, they finished just behind the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. All these three teams had 18 points at the end of the League Stage but the NRR came into play as a result of which DC will be playing this game at a completely unknown ground for them.

On the other hand, SRH are quite lucky to make it to the the final four as they became the first team in the history of IPL to make it to the playoffs with 12 points. In this, one of the biggest contributions came from their previous opening batsmen, David Warner and Jonny Bairstow but as now both of them have left, it will be interesting to whether they will be able to make it to the next game or not as the journey of the losing team of this game will end here only.

The winning team of this match will go on to play against the Chennai Super Kings in the Qualifier 2 that will be played at the same ground on May 10. It will not be easy for the Delhi Capitals to win this game as they have never a single game in the playoffs ever in IPL and this is also a not so much known ground to them but it was the joint home ground of SRH in 2015 which may provide them with an outside advantage.

As far as team changes are concerned, both the teams are expected to play with the same playing XI with which they played in the last game. SRH brought in Yusuf Pathan and Basil Thampi in the last game which didn’t turn out to be a much fruitful but they are expected to persist with their decision in this game as well.
