Kings XI Punjab faced a major jolt right in the second half of ongoing Indian Premier League tournament as the two star players of the franchise including Moises Henriques and Mujeeb Ur Rahman suffered injuries ahead of their rest of the matches in IPL.
The 32-year-old Australian cricketer Henriques injured himself during the warm-up sessions before his debut in KXIP squad while on the other side Afghanistan spinner Rahman experienced the shoulder injury during the last match against Royals.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) said on the development,”Moises went on to take a catch during warm-ups and injured his ankle while Mujeeb picked up a shoulder injury during the match. Both are awaiting further results of the medical tests”
Earlier in their match against Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kings’ captain R.Ashwin and KL Rahul shone at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium at Mohali on Tuesday as the KXIP squad beat Royals by 12 runs to secure their position in top four in the IPL points table. KXIP now has ten points out of nine matches in IPL 2019 while RR lost their six matches out of eight this season.
Ravichandran Ashwin-led Kings will next lock their horns with Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals on Saturday at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.
