Pakistan Announce The Probables For ICC World Cup 2019

Pakistan became the second team to announce its squad for ICC World Cup 2019 after New Zealand.

Ahead of ICC World Cup 2019 Pakistan became the second team to announce its squad for the grand cricket tournament after New Zealand. This year star cricketers like Wahab Riaz, Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad have not been included in the list of 23 probables members for 15-men squad.

The authorities of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on the development, “the probables will have to attend a fitness test, which will be held at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore on April 15-16”.

Pakistan will declare its squad for the showpiece event on April 18 and is going to travel to England on April 23, 2019. Before starting their World Cup campaign Pakistani squad will commence their five-match ODI series against England. The ODI series will start from May 8 and will be ended on May 19 at The Oval Stadium. Earlier the green team lost their ODI series to Australia with the unworthy margin of 5-0 in United Arab Emirates. Despite the brilliant centuries of Harris Sohail in the tournament, Pakistan was unable to seal a single match against Aussies. The Kangaroos clinched the sixth successive victory over Pakistan in ODI format with this win.

The 12th edition of ICC World Cup will be hosted by England and Wales from May 30 to July 14, 2019 and the hosting team England is going to open the tournament at The Oval Stadium, London.
