With the opening ODI battle of three-match series washed out due to heavy rain, both the traditional rivals Pakistan and Sri Lanka are again preparing themselves for the second encounter at National Stadium Karachi on Monday. Amidst the higher expectations, the ongoing One Day International Series didn’t get the ideal start but Sarfraz Ahmed and  Lahiru Thirimanne are looking forward once again to take on each other. Both the squads are keeping their fingers crossed about the upcoming battle. They are quite hopeful that this time weather will not play a spoilsport.

Notably, this is the first time when Sri Lanka and Pakistan are going to play a One Day International series in Karachi since 2009. The last time when both the teams met in 2009 ODI series, Lankan team’s bus was attacked outside the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. As a result, the Sri Lankan cricket squad was a bit scared before coming to the venue city this year. But now everything is set Pakistan Cricket Board had done reliable security arrangement and there is nothing to be scared of.

Currently, bad weather condition is the biggest threat for Pakistan and Sri Lanka. However, as per the weather forecasting report, it is likely to be predicted that the climate will be all clear for a good game of cricket on Monday. Only time will tell who will dominate whom. Earlier the second ODI clash between both the teams was scheduled to be played on September 29th but later due to bad weather condition the match has moved to Monday.
