Sourav Ganguly the former Indian captain turned 48 on Wednesday and players have started pouring their wishes. From current Indian captain Virat Kohli to Sachin Tendulkar, from modern-day cricketers like Kuldeep Yadav to former teammates of Sourav Ganguly Yuvraj Singh, everyone has something to say on 48th birthday of their very own ‘Dada’.

Former teammates of Ganguly VVS Laxman and Mohammed Kaif were the first ones to wish him. VVS Laxman tweeted, “Many more happy returns of the day @SGanguly99 may you taste ever more success and receive more and more love. Have a great day and a year ahead.” 

Whereas Kaif posted Dada’s throwback from Lord’s cricket ground where he removed his t-shirt. Along with that, he wrote, “From a fine batsman to an outstanding captain and now leading Indian cricket on the whole- here’s wishing my favorite captain and mentor @SGanguly99 a very happy birthday. But FAULADI SEENA dikha ke raise kaun chadta hai, Dada.”

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar also took their twitter handles. Virat posted a picture with Dada and wrote, “Happy birthday Dada. God bless you”. Tendulkar also wished former Indian captain, Happy Birthday Dadi! Hope our-off field partnership keeps going strong like our on-field ones. Wish you a blessed year ahead.” Many fans also took to Twitter to wish the former Indian captain on his birthday.”

Yuvraj Singh posted a video on his twitter handle remembering some funny moments with Ganguly and also wished on his Birthday. He wrote, “Many more happy returns of the day @SGanguly99 may you taste ever more success and receive more and more love. Have a great day and a year ahead.”

Former teammates like Harbhajan Singh and Virender Sehwag also wished their dearest, Dada. Harbhajan Singh wrote, “Happy birthday dada @SGanguly99 wish you the best going forward..”

Former Indian opener Sehwag also tweeted, “Dada ko Janamdin ki bahut badhai. The only time he blinked his eye was when dancing down the track while hitting spinners for a 6, varna never. Eternally grateful for his support in initial days.”

Not only the former cricketers and Dada’s teammates, but young players like Kuldeep Yadav and KL Rahul also wished Ganguly. Yadav took his twitter handle and wrote, “A legend of Indian cricket. As a leader, you always led from the front and motivated so many Indians to play the game fearlessly. Happy Birthday, Legend.”

Whereas KL Rahul tweeted, “A fearless cricketer who took Indian cricket to great heights. Happy Birthday, Dada.”

Sourav Ganguly is one of the greatest captains in the history of Indian cricket. He captained the Indian national team for the first time in the year 2000. Many players from that time respect Dada a lot, he helped many cricketers in his time to come up and show their talent. Even there were many players in the 2011 World Cup squad who were part of the Dada’s golden era team.
