Ace T20 all-rounder Dwayne Bravo became the first bowler in T20 cricket history to complete 500 wickets. Bravo achieved this feat during the 13th match of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020 at the Port of Spain in Trinidad on Wednesday.

While playing for Trinbago Knight Riders, Bravo dismissed St Lucia Zouks’ opening batsman Rahkeem Cornwall for 18 runs. Colin Munro completed a simple catch to help the Caribbean become the numero uno bowler to reach the 500-wicket mark in T20s.

Bravo entered the 500-wicket club in 495 matches at an impressive average of just above 24. Interestingly, the second-highest T20 wicket-taker Lasith Malinga hasn’t even reached the 400-wicket mark yet. The legendary Sri Lankan pacer stands at 390 T20 wickets at the moment. It seems tough for any bowler to surpass Bravo’s milestone number in the near future.

Bravo: The All-rounder

All this simply proves the impact of DJ Bravo in the shortest format of the game. His bowling variations, especially in the death overs, can leave any opposition batsman confused on the field. Moreover, Bravo is not just a great bowler, but also a terrific fielder as well. When it comes to batting, his ability to win the matches is second to none. All in all, he is an absolute symbol of a proper cricketing all-rounder.

Once Bravo completed this achievement, social media went berserk, congratulating the Caribbean. Cricket fans all over the world praised the death-bowling specialist. The official social media handles his teams, Chennai Super Kings (IPL) and Trinbago Knight also applauded the efforts of the 36-year old.
