Golfers Against Cancer Event

The Golfers Against Cancer is an all-volunteer charitable organization that helps raise funds to support research for cancer cures via auctions and tournaments, at the same time, honors the people who’ve made a mark in the world of golf.

This year’s GAC’s will honor two people who excelled in the world of gold and medicine; Dr. Jim Allison who received a Nobel Prize in the field of medicine and professional golfer, Bruce Lietzke – winner of PGA and Champions Tours.

Dr. Jim Allison received a Nobel Prize for introducing an effective way of attacking cancer via treating the immune system instead of attacking the tumor. Meanwhile, Bruce Lietzke succumbed to glioblastoma. The GAC supports and fund research to cure glioblastoma.

The event’s itinerary will kick off in the Clubs of Kingwood for the event’s commencement dinner and auction. For participants and individuals who wish to witness the exciting action, the GAC will hold two exciting tournaments. First is the Diamond and Platinum Sponsored Tournament on Sunday and the GAC Tournament on Monday.
