Man City owner’s cousin turns attention to Derby takeover

Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed who is the cousin of Sheikh Mansour is reportedly interested in a takeover of Championship side Derby County. He owns the Bin Zayed Group, a Dubai-based conglomerate.

Sheikh Khaled was unsuccessful in his tries to buy Liverpool in 2018 and Newcastle in 2019 for reported sums of €2 billion and €350 million. The current owner of Derby Mel Morris bought the club in 2015 and has been trying to sell a major stake since last season.

Man Utd and England legend dies at the age of 78

Nobby Stiles who lifted the 1966 World Cup with England passed away on Friday, his family confirmed. The midfielder who played for Man United, Middlesbrough, and Preston North End played every minute of England’s triumphant 1966 World Cup.

Stiles who was also a key figure in the United’s side managed by Sir Matt Busby, winning two First Division titles and a European Cup. He was suffering from dementia.

Ronaldo tests negative for Covid

Cristiano Ronaldo has tested negative for Coronavirus, the club confirmed. After isolating for more than 19 days, in which he tested positive twice, he is expected to feature in the match against Spezia on Sunday.

Since being tested positive on October 13th, the Portuguese has missed five games for club and country.
