Rob Holding has played down fears of a training ground bust-up at London Colney.
The duo of David Luiz and Dani Ceballos were reportedly engaged in a training ground fight which resulted in the Brazilian striking the Spaniard. It was further reported that the punch drew blood from Ceballos’ nose.
However, Ceballos was quick to deny any bust-up on Twitter. Arteta and Holding recently denied any fight. But the English defender claimed that there was a moment of ‘competitiveness.’ “It’s just competitive training, that’s all we want it to be,” Holding told Sky Sports.
Anything that happened was just a bit of competitiveness: Holding
“We want it to be match-like, you’ve got to train as if it’s a match. You want to fight and compete for the ball. If it goes over, it can’t go over, and it’s displaying something that’s not part of the game.”
“Everything that happened was just competitive tackling and just a bit of competitiveness with the boys, which I think is not a problem at all.” Asked if the players are on good terms again, Holding replied: “Yeah, everyone’s friends again, everyone’s laughing and joking. It’s all good.”
