When everyone was speculating the departure of CR7 from football field, the five-time Ballon d’Or award winner Cristiano Ronaldo himself came forward to sort all the issues about his trending retirement rumours.

The 34-year-old football great said while clearing all the rumours of his shocking retirement, “age is just a number. It does not mean that at 34, 35, 36 you are at the end of your career. I can show that with my performances, how I play, the way I play, the way I still feel good, sharp, thinking about the game, more mature. This makes the difference”. Further, he also stated that he still has a Serie A, a Champions League, and a Cup to win in this season and Ronaldo will try his best efforts to clinch all these shining trophies. This bold statement of the great Portugal star has cleared the minds of his hardcore fans that he is not going anywhere so soon.

Earlier in the match of 2020 UEFA Euro Qualifiers in last week, Ronaldo has added one more feather to his cap as he netted the 700th goal of his illustrious career for Portugal. Though his team failed to win that match against the strong team of Ukraine despite Ronaldo’s impressive goal. The hosts outclassed the powerful Portuguese with a close margin of 2-1 at their own den. Despite losing that game against Ukrainian stars, Ronaldo still won the hearts of millions of his fans across the world by reaching the brilliant 700- feat.

On the match front, Ronaldo is now going to play against Lokomotiv Moscow for his Italian club Juventus in the upcoming Champions League match on Tuesday at Juventus Stadium. With only winning strategy in mind, Ronaldo is looking forward to winning this match. It will interesting to see whether the Italy giants will seal the match with a perfect finish in front of the home crowd or the visitors will dominate the game in full confidence. But one thing has been confirmed that currently, football is the only focusing point for Ronaldo and nothing else.
