The Brazilian footballer Neymar is heading to Qatar for a complete assessment of his right foot injury, six weeks into his recovery. The Paris Saint-German shared the information on their official Twitter Handle by tweeting, “Neymar Jr will travel to Aspetar in Qatar for the next 3 days as scheduled in the initial recovery plan. He will undertake the complete assessment after six weeks of his injury”.
The trip will be sanctioned by Paris Saint-German and Neymar will be accompanied by the medical team of PSG. Earlier this week, the 27-year-old was at the Parc des Princes to
witness his team PSG lose 3-1 to Manchester United and consequently knocked out from the Champions League.
Neymar damaged his right foot at the time of French Cup where his team won against Strasbourg on January 23. Though, PSG hope for his faster recovery to get him back on the pitch before the quarterfinals of
Champions League in April. Though PSG dominated the possession but Manchester United took the advantage with their next chance and thrashed the squad of UEFA
Champions League. While criticizing the defeat PSG coach Thomas Tuchel
said, “It is very hard to lose, very hard to accept”.
The Brazilian missed both the legs of his side’s Champions League last-16 against Manchester United. Last year, Neymar was out for 11 weeks after suffering a metatarsal injury on the same right foot while this year he has been ruled out for 10 weeks. PSG visit Old Trafford for the first leg of their last-16 clash on February 12 before hosting the second one on March 6, 2019.
