SIX goals in the Match, FOUR for the Red and TWO for the White. Arsenal beat Tottenham 4-2 to gain both the bragging rights and points in North London. Arsenal are now level on points with Tottenham, with goal differential putting the gunners ahead.
The game started off with Arsenal dominating the ball and eventually receiving a penalty for a handball by Vertonghen. Aubameyang slid it through, achieving nine Premier League goals. Arsenal did create a lot of chances, but were wasteful. Tottenham started to gain momentum and when Eriksen drove in the free kick to the 6-yard box, Eric Dier pounced and scored Tottenham’s goal, silencing the Emirates. A few minutes later Son got fouled and received a penalty which Harry Kane scored past Bernd Leno. Half-time and the gunners were down 2-1. Unai Emery, Arsenal manager, had to make changes and substituted both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi for Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette. The Spurs had a few chances, but didn’t score. Ramsey led the counter-attack for Arsenal and rolled in Aubameyang for his 2nd goal of the night. Next, Lacazette was rolled in by Aaron Ramsey scoring with a slight deflection off Eric Dier. The Emirates was buzzing, Unai Emery’s substitutions proved him genius. To end the remarkable Arsenal display, Lucas Torreira added a 4th to seal the win for the red and whites.
Unai Emery’s half-time substitutions were vital in Arsenal’s win. In our opinion, Aubameyang should be the man of the match with both of the gunner’s goals. The north London derby is another reason why the Premier League is both- the most watched and the best league in the world.
