Former FC Barcelona player Ronaldinho has given his prophecy on the second tie of Champions League quarter-finals between Barcelona and Manchester United. The footballing maestro felt that the Blaugrana’s should have ‘finished the job’ at Old Trafford.
Barcelona are already 1-0 up with a narrow win over United at Old Trafford in the first tie and now the second and the final tie will be played the Catalan giants home ground, Camp Nou.
Lionel Messi and Co are favourites to win the match and qualify for the semifinals but the way United made a comeback against PSG in the round of 16, walking away with a win will not be easy for the Spanish Leaders.
In the round of 16 match, PSG were 2-0 up in the first tie but Solskjaer’s men didn’t give up and went on to thrash the French giants in away tie to secure their quarterfinals spot.
Ronaldinho felt that Barcelona are the clear favourites to win the match, but still, the team who scored the first goal will make the difference in the game.
“The truth is that Barcelona should have finished the game in Manchester – but at just 1-0 Manchester United will still believe that they are in this tie,” the former Brazilian said.
“With the way that Barcelona have been playing and the amount of goals they have been scoring, I do expect them to progress.
“I see them even winning comfortably in Barcelona. It will all be on the first goal. If Barcelona score it then it will be a long evening for Manchester United,” Ronaldinho concluded.
The clash between the two European giants will happen on Wednesday. For Barcelona, the key man will be Lionel Messi who can do extraordinary things will ball at his feet and for United, the Red Devils need a miracle to pull off a victory at Camp Nou as they need to at least score two goals with a clean sheet to enter the semifinals.
