According to reports few English, French and Italian clubs are in the race to get Messi on their side. So far Manchester United, Manchester City, UCL finalist Paris Saint Germain and Italian Club Inter Milan has made e offer to Messi. Another possibility is that Messi will go to Major League Soccer that is the official league of the United States, but that being a very small league in comparison to European giants the possibilities of Messi moving to the US are less.

Rooney told talkSPORT, “I know he’s getting older but he’s a player who no one has seen before. Messi has everything – he can create goals, score goals, dictates the game, and is the best player of all time. He’s one of the only players I’ve sat there and watched and been in awe.”

He added, “He and Cristiano Ronaldo have set a standard which I don’t think we will ever see again but, for me, Messi is just a different level.”

Rooney thinks Messi should sign a Premier League club and should aim for his 7th Ballon d’Or. Rooney told talkSPORT, “The United States shouldn’t be in his mindset at all because he’s too good for that level. He is miles too good for that level. He signed off saying If he surrounds himself with Kevin De Bruyne, with Bruno Fernandes, these types of players, he could win a seventh Ballon d’Or.”
