The most expensive footballer in the world Neymar is going to play his 100th match for the national football team of Brazil on Thursday. The 27-year-old young forward will reach the century mark in his illustrious career with the upcoming friendly clash of Brazil against Senegal at the Singapore National Stadium.

Ahead of his team’s friendly clash against Senegal, Neymar expressed his joy for playing the 100th match with Brazil. He said during a recent press conference, “I’m happy in the national team and with my club too. Everyone knows what happened during the last transfer window, my initial desires, but today I’m happy and I feel comfortable in my club. The season has started well for me”. Further, he also stated that he is very happy to reach the mark of 100 matches and never thought of something like this even in his dreams.

In order to celebrate his brilliant achievement with the team, Neymar also donned Brazil’s jersey kit with the number 100 written on its back. Neymar has conquered many milestones for Brazilian Football Squad. Currently, he is the third-highest scorer in the history of Brazil with 61 goals in 99 matches. The experienced footballer is just one goal behind the two-time World Cup-winner Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the second-best player in the all-time list of Brazil’s top scorers. While the scoreboard is leading by the three-time world champion Pele who netted as many as 77 goals for Brazil in his time.

With Neymar in the team, Brazil has witnessed 70 victories, 19 draws, and 10 defeats.
