Since his move to Manchester United in the winter transfer season in January 2018, Sanchez has been more or less non-existent for the Red Devils but racks in roughly around 500K Pounds per week which is quite astonishing.
The astronomical fee given to the Chilean has caused plenty of problems as well for the team, but he hasn’t been put to good use and hasn’t delivered given the package he is being paid. It is quite imminent that Sanchez is on his way out, but his fee demands are not being met by any European club. The former Arsenal winger will have to take a huge pay cut to join another club.
Sanchez has struggled to perform and deliver for Manchester United as he has scored once this season in his 10 appearances. The Chilean was a star at the Emirates but could not replicate his skills in the United jersey. Sanchez had come in on a swap deal where Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined the Gunners.
Recently, Sanchez was substituted during the Manchester derby and surprisingly, he had touched the ball only once in the 12 minutes he played. Solksjaer threw in his attackers after United were outplayed by their local rivals, Manchester City. Interestingly, Inter Milan are interested in signing the Chilean but will not match the wages that he currently being paid at United.
While Inter has had a rough season so far in Serie A, their attempts in the transfer market have also seldom worked. They targetted Joao Mario, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Gabriel Barbosa but failed to get their signs.
Besides Sanchez, according to reports, Inter are also interested in signing United’s Antonio Valencia who has been a benchwarmer for a while. Paris Saint Germain was also interested in Sanchez earlier but his poor form saw the Ligue 1 giants cool down.
The only way Sanchez can prove his worth is by grabbing the opportunities provides whilst he is at Old Trafford as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer doesn’t seem to have the Chilean in his plans next season.
