The Wolverhampton Wanderers have relished a wonderful season defeating Chelsea and Tottenham in the premier league and 9th in the table. Leicester were just above the wolves but lacked the attacking quality in many games this season, however, Claude Puel has done a fantastic job keeping his terriers in mid-table, contesting for the 7th place. Jamie Vardy led the line for Leicester, while Jota and Jimenez-the Portuguese duo started off for the Wolves. There was all for the taking in the mid-table encounter.

The home side began very strongly. Ruben Neves struck a curling beauty to the right top corner, but a finger tip save from Schmeichel saved a 2nd-minute opener. Moments later, Moutinho crossed in from the right flank for Jota to score extending his leg. Wolves had all the momentum. In the 12th minute, Moutinho took a deep corner to which Bennet headed decisively. Wolves were 2-0 up in a matter of no time. The home time continued to dominate but couldn’t add to the score with the half-time approaching. The stadium was partying at half-time.

Puel trusted his same starting 11 and told them to attack more. Gray was the first to score using his pace to his advantage, dribbling past a couple and then shooting in the bottom left corner to get one back for the foxes. Moments later, with Wolves clearing the ball straight to Harvey Barnes feet in the box, he curled the ball and with the help of a deflection off Coady, the ball went in. All of a sudden, the match was tied at 2-2. Wolves didn’t even bother to play defensively, they were here for the win. Neves trapped the ball from Coady’s head and lobbed in a splendid ball to Jota, who broke the offside trap and hammered a left-foot shot home. 3-2 Wolves. But, just when we thought Wolves won, Leicester captain Morgan sprang up the highest following a set-piece situation and scored emphatically. Goals were coming in like food comes in McDonald’s- Superfast. With 3 minutes into the 90, Ruben Neves, again, played Jimenez who squared the ball to Jota to secure the winner. Last minute drama. Leicester hearts broken. The game ended 4-3 to the Wolves.

The premier league had one of its matches of the season.
