Despite going down against Bengal Warriors in the edgy Pro Kabaddi League encounter last night, Dabang Delhi K.C won the hearts of millions of kabaddi fans across the world. In the closely-contest battle, Bengal Warriors derailed Naveen express with a margin of 33-42 at Tau Devilal Sports Complex, Panchkula. Maninder Singh-led Warriors came on the mat with full confidence in the 115th match of PKL season seven. They put up an excellent show against the table-toppers in order to secure their seat in an upcoming playoff war. The credit of Bengal’s impressive win goes to none other than star skipper Maninder Singh who scored 13 successful raid points for his team before picking up a shoulder injury.
Surprisingly in this match, Bengal Warriors dominated the opening minutes as fabulous skipper Maninder Singh grabbed successful raids at a very early stage of the game. In reply record-breaker Naveen Kumar also registered some important raid points on his name in order to level-up the score with 4-4 within four minutes of starting. The trio of Sukesh, Maninder and Nabibakhsh continued to fetch points for Bengal in the first half. As a result, Warriors secured a huge 25-14 lead against hapless Delhi at the end of the first half.
In the second half also, stylish player Maninder Singh performed with the same spirit and kept dominating Naveen Kumar’s team. It looked like Naveen express single-handedly trying to drive his team forward and didn’t get the proper support from the defensive unit. At last Warriors have mounted a big pressure on Delhi and toppled the opponents with 42-33 verdict in their favour.
