Dabang Delhi K.C put up a great show against Mumba boys in the last group stage battle at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater Noida on Friday. The Joginder Singh Narwal-led squad outplayed a 37-37 draw against one-time title lifters U Mumba in the 131st match of Pro Kabaddi League season seven. Delhi’s Naveen Express once again shined for his team in last night’s encounter while the brilliant raider Abhishek Singh became the star of Mumbai’s show.

Both the teams went hard on each other right from the starting of the game but it was Dabang Delhi squad who took the lead in early minutes. With their strong defensive unit, Delhi then easily inflicted their first All-Out of the night at 10th minute. As a result, the first half of the match went in Delhi’s favour with 24-13 lead.

In the second half also, Delhi boys kept their dominance alive on U Mumba as they inflicted another All-Out with the help of Naveen Kumar. But after this big blow, Mumba boys made a sensational comeback through some brilliant raids of Abhishek Singh in the dying minutes of the match. At last the closely-contested battle came to an end with 37-37 draw between both the teams.

With this hard-fought tie, Dabang Delhi K.C again reached to the top-ranked position in current Pro Kabaddi League standings along with as many as 85 points in account. While Mumba boys also improved better in recent standings as they reached to the fourth spot along with 72 points in account.

Both the teams have now successfully booked their spots in the playoff week. When on one side Mumba boys will next take on strong opponents Haryana Steelers in eliminator round at Eka Arena Stadium, Ahemdabad on Monday. On the other side, Dabang Delhi K.C will face either UP Yoddha or defending champions Bengaluru Bulls in semi-final round on October 16th at the same venue.

After the edgy nail-biting encounter of Dabang Delhi K.C and U Mumba, two more powerful squads UP Yoddha and Bengaluru Bulls faced each other last night at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex. In that tournament, the hosts edged past the defending champions Bulls by 45-33 margin in a lop-sided match. All thanks to the star raider Surender Gill who socred nine raid points for his team’s win.
