In their final match of home-leg against Telugu Titans, Steelers of Haryana ensured that their fans did not return home disappointed. The hosts comfortably edged past lowly-ranked southerners with a great margin of 52-32 at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Panchkula on Friday. The star raider Vikas Kandola once again shined for his team as in this match also he scored 19 raid points singlehandedly in a closely-contested battle.

Both the teams went head-on-head at the initial stage of the game but later Haryana’s stepping stone Vikas started creating his magic in front of the home crowd. Vikas along with his counterpart Vinay mounted series of raids against Titans as a result, the southerners were All-Out in few minutes of first half.

When only six minutes were left for halftime, Steelers enforced theri second All-Out of the night after which they trailed by  16-point lead in the game. Kandola showed no such signs of slowing down at the start of the second half also as he kept suppressing opponent defenders. Eventually, without much fuss, the home side won the match by 52-32 verdict in the end.

With this impressive win, Haryana Steelers kept their dominance alive on the third position of Pro Kabaddi League Standings along with as many as 70 points in account. On the other hand, Telugu Titans are still struggling at the second-last position in recent standings with 40 points in account.

The Dharmaraj Cheralathan-led Steelers will next take on one-time title lifters U Mumba on October 10th at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, UP. While Titans will test their fortunes against another hosting team UP Yoddha on October 9th at the same ground.

Before the thrilling entertainer between Steelers and Titans, two more equally strong teams Jaipur Pink Panthers and defending champions Bengaluru Bulls faced each other at Tau Devilal Sports Complex, Panchkula on Friday. In that match, inaugural season title lifters Pink Panthers stunned the reigning PKL champions Bulls by 41-34 verdict. All thanks to star raider Deepak Narwal who bagged 13 raid points for his team’s most important win.
