The three-time title champions Patna Pirates ended their struggling journey of Pro Kabaddi League season seven on a happy note. The Pardeep Narwal-led squad cruised past high-ranked Bengal Warriors by 69-41 verdict in a lop-sided match on Sunday. All thanks to the ‘Dubki King’ Pardeep Narwal who put up an excellent show against powerful Warriors in front of the vibrant crowd of Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex at Greater Noida. The record-breaking raider of Patna Pirates singlehandedly scored 36 whopping raid points to make sure his team’s win.

Not so surprisingly, it was Patna Pirates who started the game fiercely like always as they grabbed an early-point lead with some amazing super raids by Pardeep Narwal. As a result, in the 14th minute, Pirates enforced their first All-Out of the night against strong Warriors. With this move, Pirates sounded with a massive 18-9 lead in the first half. But this was not enough for Pardeep Narwal as he inflicted one more All-Out on Warriors before half-time and Patna Pirates trailed by 27-17 lead.

Pirates continued their dominance in the second half also as they did another All-Out on Bengal Warriors withing few minutes of the restart. After this, Warriors gained some power and finally earned their first All-Out of the eve against Patna Pirates to cut the lead to 45-35. But this hardly affected Pardeep Narwal’s momentum as he kept scoring for his team and inflicted two more All-Outs in the dying minutes. Eventually, Patna Pirates had the last laugh as they won the match by 69-41 verdict.

Despite losing the game so badly, Bengal Warriors are still dominating the second spot in current Pro kabaddi League standings along with the same 78 points in account. While Pirates wrapped up their show at eight spot in recent standings with only 51 points in account. Bengal Warriors will next take on least-ranked Tamil Thalaivas on October 9th at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, UP.

After the enthralling battle of Patna Pirates and Bengal Warriors, two more equally strong teams UP Yoddha and Puneri Paltan faced each other at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex on Sunday night. In that closely-contested match Yoddhas clinched the 43-39 win over Paltan with the help of star raider Rishank Devadiga who scored seven crucial points for his team.
