Three-time title champions Patna Pirates are finally back on the winning ways as they clinched their last match also and that too against hosting team Puneri Paltan at  Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex on Sunday. The Pirates toppled outstanding home side with a 55-33 win in the 92nd match of Pro Kabaddi League season seven. Once again Pardeep Narwal shined for his team to take an important victory. The ‘Dubki King’ secured 18 raid points in the game and put up an excellent show against Surjeet Singh-led squad. Surprisingly, this time the record-breaker Pardeep Narwal got full support from his team. Brilliant defender Neeraj Kumar won the hearts of all PKL fans with his solid performance against Pune’s raiders.

At the beginning of the game, it was Paltan who grabbed the lead first with the help of young raider Pankaj Mohite. But “record-breaker” Narwal was in no mood to give up so easily. As a result, he started targeting Paltan’s stalwarts one by one. With not taking much time, Pirates inflicted their first All-Out of the night on Paltan and trailed by five-point lead. After which the things became difficult for Pune. In the dying minutes of first half, Pirates enforced their second All-Out and secure a 10-point gap between both the teams.

In the second half also, the scenario remained the same for Puneri Paltan as they continued to struggle in front of Patna Pirates. Pardeep Narwal kept on dominating the hosting team in the final minutes. At last, the former champions sealed the game with a perfect win.

With this comfortable win, Patna Pirates have now reached to the eighth position in current Pro Kabaddi League Standings along with 35 points in account while Puneri Paltan is still struggling at the lower position. Paltan is holding the 10th spot in recent standings along with 34 points in account.

Pardeep Narwal and team will next take on strong southerners Telugu Titans on September 20th at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Wrestling Hall Stadium whereas the hosting team Puneri Paltan will next test its fortunes against defending champions Bengaluru Bulls on the same day at the same ground.
