In the 120th match of Pro Kabaddi League season seven, lowly-ranked Puneri Paltan has turned around the tables in their favour by defeating strong opponents Telugu Titans with the close margin of 53-50 at Tau Devilal Sports Complex, Panchkula. The brilliance of star skipper Surjeet Singh and his mate Manjeet drove the Maharashtra-outfit towards a fantastic win. When on one side, star defender Surjeet Singh scored seven tackle points for his team, Manjeet on the other, lauded with 12 raid points.

Paltan put up a great show against in-form southerners at the beginning of the first half. Within six minutes of starting, Puneri squad inflicted their first All-Out of the night on Telugu Titans. This resulted in Paltan easily sounded with a seven-point lead at an early stage. After the first All-Out celebration, Puneri Paltan keep up its good work to secure another moment of joy. They enforced All-Out on Titans second consecutive time at 14th minute of the first half. This All-Out resulted in the rise of ‘Baahubali’ player Siddharth Desai who earned some important raid points for his team before the halftime. As the first half was ended, Puneri Paltan led the scoreboard with a great margin of 31-16.

In the second half also Puneri team maintained their dominance alive on Titans as they comfortably secured one more All-Out in the third minute of the restart. Though in reply Titans also did two back-to-back All-Outs at 9th and 14th minute of second-half respectively. Despite a lot of efforts from Rakesh Gowda and FarhadMilaghardan Titans lost the game to Puneri Paltan and also lose their playoff berth in PKL season seven.

With this hard-fought win, Puneri Paltan improved slightly better in current Pro Kabaddi League Standings as they climbed to the eighth spot along with 47 points in account. While on the other hand, Telugu Titans are still struggling at the second-last position in recent standings with only 40 points.

Surjeet Singh-led Puneri Paltan will next take on the hosting team UP Yoddha at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Noida on October 6th. While Telugu Titans will play against Gujarat Fortune Giants on October 7th at the same ground.
