Former champions Patna Pirates finally ended their six-match losing streak in Pro Kabaddi League season seven. This miracle happened when ‘Dubki King’ Pardeep Narwal lifted his squad in the 83rd match of the season against Tamil Thalaivas at Netaji Indoor Stadium on Monday. The three-time title lifters Patna Pirates who were facing the humiliating defeats again and again in PKL 2019 finally returned back on the winning ways after thrashing Thalaivas by 51-25 verdict. The credit of Patna’s exceptional win goes to one and the only raiding superstar Pardeep Narwal who not only led his squad towards the victory but also claimed a new record of 1000 raids on his name.

Not so surprisingly, it was Patna Pirates who started the game with a bang as within eight minutes of starting Pirates inflicted their first All-Out of the game against Thalaivas. Though Thalaivas’ talented raider Ajith Kumar somehow managed to lift up his side after the first jolt. But when the opponent is Pardeep Narwal you can not even think to score with raid-points. The star skipper of Patna Pirates Narwal kept on scoring for his team with back-to-back raids. As a result, the first half ended with Patna Pirates leading the scoreboard by 18-13 scoreline.

In the second half of the game, Thalaivas completed drained out against Pirates as the Pirates inflicted series of All-Outs on the fifth, ninth, and fifteenth minutes of the second half. After this, it became quite clear for the audience that would be the winner of the night. At last, Patna outclassed hapless Thalaiavs with a 51-25 lead in the game.

However, Patna still remained at the last position in current Pro Kabaddi League Standings but they improved quite better in terms of points. Now the Pirates have 25 points in account at the recent league standings while Tamil Thalaivas are struggling with same 27  points at the ninth spot in PKL standings.

Pardeep Narwal and team will next take on inaugural season title lifters Jaipur Pink Panthers on September 12th at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata while Tamil Thalaivas will test their fortunes against strong contenders Haryana Steelers on September 14th at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Wrestling Hall, Pune.
