Unstobbale Dabang Delhi K.C handed over Tamil Thalaivas their first defeat of the season in the ninth match of Pro Kabaddi League 2019 on Thursday. The Joginder Singh Narwal-led squad toppled Ajay Thakur and its team in an edgy nail-biter encounter with a close margin of 30-29. With this impressive win, Delhi improved better in points and reached to the top of it while southern lethal Tamil Thalaivas also improved a bit in current standing as they moved up to the second spot along with total six points.

The star of the show Naveen Kumar lifted Dabangs against Thalaivas with emphatic unforced errors and jaw-dropping moments. Despite having the strong support of invincible duo Ajay Thakur and Rahul Chaudhari, Thalaivas lost the game by just one point. With star skipper, Thakur by his side brilliant raider Chaudhari managed to earn 3-1 lead for his side at the second minute of the game.

If Thalaivas has destructive raiders at their side, Delhi has sharp-witted defenders in their squad in the form of Ravinder Pahal and Joginder Narwal. Both the powerful players eventually leveled up the game in the sixth minute by 5-5 points on the scoreboard. This was then followed by Thalaivas’ quick 8-5 points lead in the ninth minute with the help of Ajay Thakur. At this, the 19-year-old young player Naveen Kumartrailed his squad by 10-16 in the 15th minute. The series of the one-on-one game finally ended with Delhi’s last-minute moves which stunned Thalaivas in the game.

Both the squads began their second encounter of the tournament with an opening battle win. In their opener of the season, Delhi defeated another southern fighter Telugu Titans with a close margin while Thalaivas beat the same time by 39-26 in the opener. Now, it would be interesting to see whether Dabang Delhi K.C will be able to maintain their winning streak in the next match or face its first defeat of the season.

Delhi will next lock the horns with Gujarat Fortune Giants in order to maintain their winning streak ahead in the game on August 1st at Gachibowlli stadium while Tamil Thalaivas will face Patna Pirates to bounce back in the game on July 29th at the same ground
