Match no. 66th of Pro Kabaddi League season seven between hosting team Dabang Delhi and three-time title lifters Patna Pirates was a perfect entertainer for all the PKL fans. The table-toppers outclassed Pardeep Narwal and team with a close margin of 38-35 in front of a jubilant crowd of Thyagaraj Sports Complex on Friday. The thrilling nail-biter between both the teams was all about Delhi’s Naveen express and Patna’s ‘Dubki King’ Pardeep Narwal. The credit of Delhi’s unforgettable win goes to record-breaker Naveen Kumar who scored nine consecutive Super 10s for his team and became the first-ever raider in the history of PKL securing such brilliant figures on his name.
Delhi got off an excellent start with the help of showman Naveen Kumar as he gave his team a flying start. The hosts didn’t give any time to Patna Pirates to even settle down and within just four minutes of starting they enforced first All-Out of the game on Pirates. Riding high on confidence Delhi then strongly tackled Patna’s main raider Pardeep Narwal in order to secure one more point after the All-Out.
The first half of the game was revolving around Delhi and its star player Naveen Kumar. The hosts inflicted another All-Out on the visitors at 12th minute which left Patna clueless in the game. The first half ended with a scoreline of 26-17 in favour of Delhi.
At the beinning of the second half, Pardeep Narwal came into real action and lifted his squad singlehandedly in the game. He reduced the 16-point gap between both the teams with his outstanding raiding skills. Patna made a miraculous comeback in the second half with the help of brilliant player Pardeep Narwal. With less than two minutes left in fnal whistle Patna Pirates were just 3 points behind the hosts. But powerful tackle of Joginder Singh Narwal against Pardeep turned the waves in Delhi’s favour. As a result, Pardeep’s hardwork went in vain and Delhi succesfully won the game. With this classic win, Delhi became the first team in history of PKL who won all the matches in home-leg.

After this worth-watching victory, it seems no difference in the positions of both Delhi and Patna in current Pro Kabaddi League Standings. Dabang Delhi K.C is still leading the scoreboard with 49 points in account while former champions Patna Pirates are still struggling at the last position in recent league standings with only 19 points in account.
Joginder Singh Narwal-led Dabang Delhi will next take on the one-time title champions Jaipur Pink Panthers on September 4th at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore whereas Patna Pirates will test their fortunes against defending champions Bengaluru Bulls on the same day at the same ground.
