Stellar performer of Deepak Hooda shined for Jaipur Pink Panthers once again in the 42nd match of Pro Kabaddi League 2019 against Puneri Paltan on Sunday at EKA Arena Stadium, Gujarat. Panthers easily hunted down the shaky Paltan with the verdict of  33-25 at a packed stadium. The star skipper of Jaipur’s squad, Deepak Hooda was the real architect of his team’s commendable victory as he himself scored nine raid points for Jaipur.

The match started off with flabbergasted energy between both the squads as both were putting their best efforts to knock down each other. Though it was Puneri boys who earned the opening point first and secured an early lead with the help of star raider Nitin Tomar. But Panthers were also no less behind Paltan in inflicting shocking raids as superstar all-rounder Hooda then came forward to play his signature move in order to send Paltan’s main player Tomar on the bench. After that, the struggle for Puneri lads became harder as Panthers mounted immense pressure on the opponent team with back to back raids. Eventually, the pressure resulted in Paltan’s too many blunders in the game which ultimately became the reason for their painful defeat.

The winners of inaugural season inflicted their first all-out of the match against Puneri Paltan at 16 minutes after which Paltan’s crucial defenders  Girish Ernak and Shubham Shinde reached to the bench. After the first half ended, the scoreline read in the favour of Panthers are they were leading the board with a 17-11 margin.

Right from the beginning of the second half, Jaipur kept suppressing their opponents with unique tricks. It was Panthers all the way in the second half also, as a result, they comfortably clinched the game against a last-ranked team with a 33-25 win. For Jaipur Pink Panthers nothing could be better than this on the grand occasion of Independence Day across the country.

With this emphatic win, Panthers have improved better in the points table as they reached to the top-third position in current PKL standings along with 25 points in account while Puneri Paltan still remained at last position with same 11 points in current PKL standings.

Jaipur will next take on hosting team Gujarat Fortune Giants at their home ground EKA Arena Stadium on Friday while Puneri Paltan will test its fortune against Tamil Thalaivas on August 18th at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Delhi.
