The very first mouth-watering southern derby between Tamil Thalaivas and Telugu Titans spellbound all the Kabaddi fans at Gachibowli Stadium on Sunday.  In the fourth hard-fought battle of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League 2019, Ajay Thakur-led Tamil Thalaivas outplayed strong opponents Telugu Titans with a successful 39-26 win. The credit of Thalaivas’ first victory of the seventh season goes to star raider Rahul Chaudhari and brilliant defender Manjeet Chillar. These two young lads of Thalaivas constructed the well-versed win for their side.

When on one side amazing showman Rahul Chaudhari gave his side 12 points lead in the game Manjeet earned total five tackle points along with one bonus point. Ther 26-year-old national Kabaddi player Rahul Chaudhari who was playing against his former team Telugu Titans showed a good sense of strength and maturity to break the well-built defence of opponents. It was Rahul who first opened an account for Tamil Thalaivas with explosive raider points. This was then followed by Titans’ super tackle in the fourth minute to take the scoreboard to 3-4.

On the other hand Titans’ superstar, Siddharth Desai failed to live up to their expectations in his side’s second encounter of the season as he managed to score only five raid points against Thalaivas. The 18-year-old young gun took six minutes to sound the board with an opening point for his team. However, the first 10 minutes of the game went head-to-head as Titans were leading the match at the beginning with 7-6 points. But later brilliant raider Shabeer Bapu turned the tables around in Thalaivas’ favour as he scored first super tackle point for his team and also added two raid points in squad’s emphatic success.

The experienced skipper of Tamil Thalaivas, Ajay Thakur then came forward to produce a super raid at 18th minute in order to give his squad a 19-8 lead after which it was no looking back for the blazing squad. At the end of the game, Rahul made three consecutive successful raids which comfortably lifted the Thalaivas in their first encounter of the season. While Telugu Titans again fall short in the game. Earlier, Titans lost their opener against U Mumba by 25-31 on July 20th.

The southern lethal Tamil Thalaivas will next lock the horns with Dabang Delhi on July 24th at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium while Telugu Titans will test their fortunes in another match against Dabang Delhi on July 25th at Gachibowli stadium.
