Despite putting their best efforts in the game, Haryana Steelers still fall short against one-time title champions U Mumba in the 130th match of Pro Kabaddi League season seven on Thursday. The powerful Mumba boys narrowly edged past the Haryana Steelers by 39-33 margin at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida. The credit of U Mumba’s emphatic win goes to young gun Ajinkya Kapre who successfully scored eight raid points and one tackle point for his team against strong Steelers.

It was Haryana squad who got off a headstart against Mumba lads in the first half as both the star players Kuldeep Singh and Sunil bagged a couple of tackle points in the opening minutes. But U Mumba was also no less behind the Steelers in scoring the important points in the enthralling match as they picked up some crucial raid and tackle points to register a 9-6 lead in the 11th minute. However, Steelers fought back in the game and leveled the scores with a 9-9 scoreline. At the end of the first half, Mumba boys sounded with a 15-14 lead against Haryana.

At the beginning of the second half, Haryana’s star raider Vikash Kandola tried his best to lift up his team in the most important match but Mumba boys prevented him to do so. As a result, U Mumba led the scoreboard with 32-28 lead in the dying minutes of the second half. Eventually, the Fazel Atrachali-led squad came out as the winners and won by 39-33 verdict.

With this hard-fought win, Mumba boys improved much better in current Pro kabaddi League Standings as they reached to the fourth position along with 69 points in account. While on the other side, Haryana Steelers still continued their dominance at the third position of recent standings despite losing the game. They are holding the same third spot with as many as 71 points in account.

Both the teams are now looking forward to secure their berths in playoffs starting from next week. It will be interesting to see which team will enter the climax stage successfully after scoring maximum points in the 2019 Pro Kabaddi League points table.
