Earlier, in the last edition of PKL, Desai made his sensational debut as the player picked-up a total of 218 raid points from just 21 games which is not an easy job. When the former U Mumba superstar went under the hammer with the base price of worth Rs 30 lakh, each and every team battled hard to grab on the player but in the end Telugu Titans stole the best Kabaddi player under the nose of Tamil Thalaivas who directly bid Rs 1 crore to rope in the player. Both the franchises went in the neck to neck competition to bag the star raider but Thalaivas lost him just at the last step.
Currently, Desai holds the record of reaching to the benchmark of 50 raids rapidly in the PKL matches which is the fastest ever record in the history of PKL. Last year Desai started his PKL journey with U Mumba and was sold for Rs 36 lakh to the franchise. Monu Goyat is still consider to be the highest in the bidding table with Rs 1.51 crore. Last year Haryana Steelers bagged the raider for their side at this price.
