The Swiss veteran Roger Federer kept his winning hopes alive in ATP World Tour Finals 2019 as he defeated the former World No. 1 tennis star, Novak Djokovic in a historic shootout. Federer produced a brilliant performance to qualify for the semi-final round in the ongoing tournament. He toppled the World No. 2 Serb with a 6-4, 6-3 victory on Thursday. However, Djokovic gave him a very tough fight in the worth-watching encounter but finally, Federer has the last laugh.

After winning the match against a high-ranked opponent, World No. 3 Roger Federer was over the moon. He expressed his feelings by saying, “great atmosphere, a great opponent. It was definitely incredibly special. I enjoyed it from the beginning. “I played incredibly and I knew I had to because that’s what Novak does. It was definitely magical. You guys made it super special, I can’t thank you enough.”

Apart from Federer, Greek legend Stefanos Tsitsipas also booked his place in ATP Semifinals after defeating World No. 7 Alexander Zverev of Germany by 6-3, 6-2 verdict in the straight sets. It will be interesting to see how these two legendary players will perform in the final-four member round. Six-time title champion Roger Federer is now looking forward to add one more trophy of ATP Finals this year.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion set his meeting with World No. 2 Novak Djokovic after losing to the Austrian great Dominic Thiem by 7-5, 7-5 scoreline in the opening battle. Thiem took 100 minutes to topple Swiss veteran in the nail-biting clash. As a result, he got a chance to redeem himself once again in the prestigious tournament with an enthralling shootout against Novak Djokovic and this time he made no mistake.

Dominic Thiem not only beat the Swiss veteran Roger Federer but also the Serbian star Novak Djokovic. The World No. 5 tennis player Thiem outclassed the second-ranked star Djokovic in a second-round encounter with 6-7 (5/7), 6-3, 7-6 (7/5) verdict. However, Thiem lost the first set in the electrifying battle but later he made a spectacular comeback and marked the remarkable win.
