WWE has changed the names of five NXT superstars in the beginning of their career. This comes after the official site of WWE’s Performance Center unveiled the new names of the giants in WWE’s ring.
The process of changing names is quite usual in WWE as it has been going on for decades. Earlier in this season, renowned WWE SmackDown Live Superstar Mustafa Ali got a new name by the company as ‘Ali’. WWE shortened his ring name after the wrestler rose to international level. Later the name changing process was taken forward and this time the company renamed the NXT Tag Team Champions, War Raiders, who already went through a series of name change after the flagship event of WrestleMania 35 held at MetLife Stadium on April 7, 2019.
Earlier in last month, Ali was seen in the star-studded event of Money in the Bank Pay-per-view where he battle with many WWE superstars to win the briefcase of MITB. Just the moment when Ali was about to grab the case in the event, superstar giant Brock Lesnar made a shocking appearance and ambushed the 33-year-old player to win the contract of Money In The Bank PPV for the very first time in his wrestling career stint. Apart from globally known wrestler Ali, other wrestling legends including Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, Andrade, Finn Balor, Zayn, Brawn Strowman and Randy Orton were also seen in the event.
Here is the complete list of five NXT wrestlers who have been renamed by WWE roster:
Adrian Jaoude renamed as Arturo Ruas
Luke Menzies renamed as Ridge Holland
Jessie Elaban renamed as Jessi Kamea
Eric Bugenhagen renamed as Rik Bugez
Trevor Lee renamed as Cameron Grimes
The best part about the name changing action is that all the five NXT superstars got their new names right at the beginning of their career unlike other players who faced many problems later due to frequent renaming. These five wrestlers will not face any type of confusion in future after this as their fans can now recognize them from a new identity.
