WWE superstar John Cena is all set to shine in James Gunn’s blockbuster sequal of ‘Suicide Squad’. The 41-year-old wrestler will join the starcast of the film including actors like Idris Elba and Margot Robbie. The supervillain fictional film released before in 2016 and achieved great success along with applause from all the heroic movies fans out there. The plot of the comic film revolved around the characters namely Captain Boomerang, Enchantress, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Katana and Killer Croc. The follow up of the movie will witness Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, earlier both the actors played the same characters in the introductory part of the film.
The speculations were raised about the film that Idris Elba will portray Deadshot character in the sequel, though it is not yet confirmed that what role will Elba play in the upcoming film. Earlier, the role of Deadshot was performed by renowned actor Will Smith in 2016.
The sequel of the film which has been written and directed by James Gunn will hit the silver screens on August 6, 2021.
Cena is making a comeback in the acting background after many years and he will play his first ever comic-book role in the film. In his latest Hollywood career run Cena mesmerised the audience with his brilliant performance in Blockbusters movie in which he acted alongside the talented actors Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz. He also worked in the big banner movies like “Transformers” and”Bumblebee” with American star Hailee Steinfeld. The superstar giant will give his voice to a character in the fantasy-adventure film “The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle” which also stars Robert Downey Jr. and Selena Gomez.
